There has been a lot of speculation as to whether this video is real or not because it was released on April 1. The incident is being covered by the Chicago Tribune so apparently it happened.

About 4:50 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, March 31, 2016, a 31 year old man was shot and critically wounded in the West Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

According to Chicago Police, someone walked up and fired repeatedly at he victim as was he was standing outside in the 5500 block of South Hoyne. After gunshots hit the victim in the face and groin, the shooter jumped into a vehicle, which sped away.

According to police, the man was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital at 1500 S Fairfield Ave.
