I don’t know any other way to explain this baboon’s reaction other than that he is genuinely amazed by the magic trick. The baboon’s expectations were not congruent with the reality manufactured by the magician and he is appears truly stunned. Animal researchers are coming to the conclusion that non-human animal intelligence is far more advanced than once believed.
